Retro Warrior Coffee is veteran and patriot owned, and on a mission to inspire fellow Americans by paying homage to the brave warriors, both past and present, who have championed FREEDOM.
We deem it vitally important to health of our Republic to understand our history and the pivotal moments that have kindled the flames of liberty and freedom. Our "fuel of choice" for this endeavor... COFFEE!
Coffee & Freedom
Our family roots go all the way back to the Boston Tea Party where a whole lot o' tea found its way into the Boston Harbor. President John Adams (a distant grandfather) inspired an unofficial boycott on the tea trade and switched to coffee. Drinking coffee thus became the symbol of the American Revolution.
As he once penned in a letter to his wife Abigail Adams in 1774, "Tea must be universally renounced. I must be weaned, and the sooner, the better." Coffee houses soon became the center for political discussions, a tradition that has carried through to this very day.
Education & The Freedom Train

We may be fueled by coffee, but Freedom is fueled by Education.
As one of our nation's founders, John Adams, once stated, "Liberty can no more exist without virtue and independence than the body can live and move without a soul."
And Thomas Jefferson..."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
Spirit of 1776
In September of 1947, the Freedom Train, named the "Spirit of 1776", carrying key documents of American history, including the Bill of Rights, began its journey across the United States. At each stop visitors had an opportunity to see the documents, many of which were from the National Archives.
The purpose... to educate, inspire, and instill in the hearts of Americans an understanding of who we are, our liberties, and our freedoms; and to bring unity in a post WWII atmosphere.
Altogether, the exhibit featured 126 documents, including the Bill of Rights, the Treaty of Paris, the Emancipation Proclamation, The Northwest Ordinance, and Washington's copy of the Constitution. Jefferson's draft of the declaration of Independence, the Mayflower Compact, the original manuscript of the "Star-Spangled Banner," and Lincoln's Gettysburg Address were also among these national treasures.
